Our chef is Siriwan Rerksuttisiridach. But everyone calls her Grace. You can too. Grace is special for lots of reasons, not the least of which is her enthusiasm. James Barber, host of the Urban Peasant cooking show sums her up as "50kg of intense passion with a halogen smile."

Bangkok born and raised, she apprenticed under Penpan Sittitrai, teacher of Royal Thai Chefs for the Royal family of Thailand. After moving to Vancouver, she worked in several local Thai restaurants in Vancouver before launching Simply Thai. She wanted to give Vancouver true Thai cuisine – flavoured with her own creativity. Every year she goes back to see her teacher in Thailand for more training.
